Rowan House (Region 3 Family Based Care Society) is a short-term women's emergency shelter located in the Foothills of Southern Alberta. Our mission is to provide crisis intervention, long-term support and education for those affected by family violence in rural communities. In doing so, Rowan House works to fulfill its vision: that every person is safe and secure, and lives without abuse. We provide women and their children a safe environment that nourishes feelings of self-worth, lends an opportunity for healing and personal growth, while facilitating transition back into the community all at no cost to them. We also provide Outreach services to women and children who have experienced abuse or are at risk of experiencing abuse and Preventative Education for schools and community groups. Priddis Creek Fire Association

Priddis Creek Fire Association is a registered charity benefiting the Priddis Fire Department, a 25 member volunteer/paid, on-call department. We provide fire, rescue, and emergency medical first response care. The department is known as Station 6 in the regional emergency response plan. Our Fire Hall is located on Highway 22 about 1km west of the Priddis Golf Course turn off. We have 4 fire response vehicles, a pumper, a tanker/pumper, a bush buggy, and a command vehicle. Please support the Priddis Creek Fire Association, assisting with equipment and training of our first responders, by offering pledges to their participating team members or joining their Half Marathon team to fundraise. The Sheep River Health Trust is dedicated to supporting the provision of comprehensive health services in the Foothills area. The Health Trust aims to promote health and well being throughout our local communities by working in partnership with the residents of the area. The SRHT is a registered charitable organization which raises funds to support health services and wellness programs for the residents of Longview, Black Diamond, Turner Valley, Millarville, DeWinton, Okotoks, and the surrounding rural area.
